Heavy/Valuable Item Shipping

Heavy/Valuable Item Shipping

8th Jun 2023

As of recent we are becoming more and more aware of freight companies who are attempting deliveries to residential addresses and despite items being shipped without "Authority To Leave" they have still been leaving items at the location. This causes an obvious risk of items being stolen from the premises & due to most couriers still using their rules/methods which were implemented during lockdowns they no longer provide any coverage/protection for items delivered under contactless delivery. This gives the courier company a no liability protection despite delivering items without someone there to accept the shipment. This also gives the delivery driver zero liability as they have been able to leave the item at an address without a signature rather than being forced to load it back on the truck and work around the undelivered shipment for the rest of their day.

To mitigate potential risks to our customers LSX Performance Parts no longer ships heavy/bulky items such as Supercharger, Engines & palleted shipments direct to residential locations.

We now offer the following alternatives:

Shipping direct to a business address:
We can ship your bulky item direct to a fixed business location/ workshop address.
NOTE: We do not ship to work sites or building sites.

Shipping direct to a Freight Depot in your state:
Collections will require photo ID to collect. If your item is palleted they will help you load it into a trailer/ute.
NOTE:When shipping to a freight depot in your state, we will ship to the closest freight depot to your location of that courier.

As always LSX Performance Parts still offers Free Shipping on 99% of items we sell however it will only be to the above options.

It is always recommended that customers arrange their own freight insurance on any valuable shipment to protect themselves in the event of missing/damaged freight.
